meet rachel

Rachel is the owner and creator of Rachel Claire Salon. Growing up in a small town, after attending community college for business, she decided to pursue her dream as a Cosmetologist. Starting in the industry in 2003, she practiced cosmetology while managing a salon for the first 3 years in the Okoboji area. After moving to the Des Moines area, working for a couple local Aveda salons, mentoring, traveling around the country to study under world renowned hairdressers, she decided to extend her career by opening her own Davines concept salon. This would allow her to feed her passion, provide effortless style, and skilled attention to detail with every guest, while offering a product line she loves to support.  In her spare time, you can find Rachel reading a nail-biting mystery novel, watching sports, catching a quick workout, or spending time with family and friends.
